Emma Jacobs is a multimedia journalist and audio producer based in Montreal.

 

She reports for radio broadcasters including NPR, The World, and Marketplace. Her writing has shown up in publications including The Washington Post, Longreads, and The New York Times. She has made podcasts for National Geographic, ESPN, and the Smithsonian Museum of American Art.

Previously, Emma worked in the newsrooms of NPR member-stations WNYC and WHYY. She went to the French island of La Réunion as NPR's Above the Fray fellow in 2015. She published a book, The Little(r) Museums of Paris (Running Press) in 2019.

Emma’s work has received support from The Investigative Fund, The Fund for Investigative Journalism, the Institute for Journalism & Natural Resources, and the Association of Independents in Radio.
