Emma Jacobs is a multimedia journalist and audio producer based in Montreal.
She has reported internationally for radio broadcasters including NPR, PRI's The World, Marketplace and Latino USA. Her writing has appeared in publications including The Washington Post, Longreads, and The New York Times. She has also produced podcasts for clients including National Geographic, ESPN, Audible, and the Smithsonian Museum of American Art.
Previously, Emma worked in the newsrooms of NPR member-stations WNYC and WHYY. She traveled to the French island of La Réunion as NPR's Above the Fray fellow in 2015. She published a book, The Little(r) Museums of Paris (Running Press) in 2019.
Emma has received other fellowships and grants supporting her work from The Investigative Fund, The Fund for Investigative Journalism, the Institute for Journalism & Natural Resources, and the Association of Independents in Radio.
